VANCOUVER
“Michael is a strong fighter for people in Burnaby North- Seymour. I’m happy to have him joining the NDP team,” said Canada’s NDP leader Jagmeet Singh. “Times are tough right now. People are frustrated and they have every reason to be. While everyday families are working harder than ever to keep up with bills, billionaires are raking in more money than ever before. New Democrats are sick and tired of it. When you elect folks like Michael, you get someone who’s fighting for you in Ottawa, not for billionaires.”
Michael is a member of the Union of British Columbia Performers and Canadian Actors’ Equity Association and is a theatre arts instructor. He believes in getting a better deal for working Canadians – fighting for good-paying, union jobs, more accessible health care and building more homes people can truly afford.
“It’s a privilege to be nominated and join Jagmeet’s team,” said Charrois. “I’m ready for a fight to get our community and our neighbours more. For almost a decade, the Liberals let us down. They’ve made big promises, but when push comes to shove, they’ve refused to stand up to billionaires who are gouging working people. Just like Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives who plan to take away from you, all to give more to billionaires.
“Together, we can fix health care, build the homes we need, and stop Conservative cuts before they start.”
